FAQ Frequently Asked Questions Working & Living

COMMUTING 通勤

Q. How can I commute to
my workplace?

A.Tokyo has a well-developed public transportation system, and the majority of people commute to work by train or bus. In particular, trains run almost exactly on time, so you can commute to your company without being late. During the peak morning commuting period, trains often depart at intervals of three to five minutes and are more frequent than at other times of the day, making it possible for many commuters to board. In recent years, some companies have allowed staggered work hours so that employees can avoid the commuter rush and commute to work comfortably. In addition, because remote work and staggered work hours have been promoted, the congestion rate of trains has eased compared to the past.
